The Antique Automobile Club of America defines classic automobiles as vehicles that are more than 25 years old. However, The Classic Car Club of America, befitting the name and function of the club, has a much more precise definition of a classic car. The CCCA defines a “CCCA Classics” as a “fine” or “distinctive” automobile, either American- or foreign-built, manufactured between 1915 and 1948. Note that in the CCCA definition, there are subjective terms such as “fine” or “distinctive.” However, the CCCA goes as far as specifying certain makes. A very interesting read is their document titled "About Classics: Why We Define Classics As We Do & By The Number" by Jon Lee.
