Mobility Scooters

Mobility Scooters Use and Availability

The Pate Swap Meet allows certain types of mobility scooters to be used at the event.

Small privately-owned electric scooters are allowed so you are welcome to bring your own if you wish (see more details and certain restrictions below.) Also, scooters compliant with the policies of Pate Swap Meet can be rented on-site from a Pate Vendor, Events Scooters, but a reservation is definitely recommended.

Our supplier for mobility scooters is Event Scooters (please visit their website.) Or, you may call their corporate offices at (262) 677-2696. Every year they bring a very large fleet of scooters to Pate Swap Meet. However, a reservation is STRONGLY recommended because demand is high. Reservations for our spring event will be available online that their website after January 1, 2022. Reservation must be made directly with Event Scooters.

At the two walk-in gates off the public parking area, there will be special signage with a phone number listed. If you call the number shown, a driver from Event Scooter will come and pick you up in a golf cart and deliver you to their tent to get your reserved scooter. If you enter the main gate at Petty Place, the Event Scooter location will be very nearby.

Pate Swap Meet

PLEASE NOTE: not all privately-owned personal vehicles can be used at the Pate Swap Meet during our hours of public operations. To be used in the Pate Swap Meet between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm each day of the swap-meet, private scooters must meet all of the requirements of being used in a federal building or a shopping mall.

Unauthorized vehicles during the swap meet hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. are mini-bikes, skateboards, inline skates, private motorized carts, lawn tractors, lawnmowers, personal 2 wheel scooters, motorbikes, motorcycles, powered or non-powered bicycles, 3 or 4 wheel all-terrain vehicles (ATV's), electric or gas-powered golf carts, or any other motorized transportation of any type other than the exceptions noted for compliant mobility scooters.

There is simply too much foot traffic to safely allow other vehicles to operate within the venue. The limited number of golf carts that are used on the venue is used by authorized Pate Workers such as Parts Haulers and Pate Staff.
